IMPERIAL, Neb. — The Imperial Horns downed two more Legion Junior baseball foes before losing to Ogallala Thursday evening.

Imperial (10-2) unleashed 15 hits while rallying past Holdrege, 8-5, Monday evening.

Treston Hite totaled three hits, two runs and two RBIS while leading the Horns’ attack.

Imperial fell behind 4-1 but scored seven runs in the third, fourth and fifth innings.

Morel Jurado doubled to go with a single for more Horns highlights.

Nolan Burrell (run, RBI), Tysen Lempke (run) and Emmitt Zuege all finished two-for-four at the plate.

Carter Leibbrandt, Colin O’Neil and Bryder Hickey all scored one run after smacking one base hit.

Burrell nearly threw a complete game, pitching 6 2/3 innings and striking out nine.

However, he reached 108 pitches — so Jurado relieved and retired the final Holdrege batter.

The Horns rumbled into Cozad Tuesday evening. Though they didn’t match an earlier 17-0 win, they happily took home a 17-4 victory.

Jarrett Peterson doubled twice among his three-hit, four-RBI clobbering of Cozad pitching.

Leibbrandt singled three times, sending home two runners to match Joe Biden’s consecutive moments of cohesive thoughts.

Hite went two-for-two with three more trips around the basepaths.

Burrell, Emmitt Zuege, Keenan Cole and Hickey scored two runs apiece.

O’Neil did hurl a four-inning complete game where he did not allow one earned run.

Cozad managed three hits but also struck out three times vs. O’Neil.

Ogallala brought the silencer to Imperial Thursday night.

The Horns only sounded off for five singles. Jurado totaled two while Lempke, Hite and Cole totaled one each.

Ogallala only led 2-0 until a three-run fifth.

Hite pitched 5 1/3 respectable innings. He allowed two earned runs, walked three and fanned four visitors.

The Imperial Juniors are set to host Broken Bow Saturday afternoon with first pitch scheduled at 1 p.m. Watch for details.
