Freedom Run's first deadline is Monday

CULBERTSON, Neb. — The Culbertson Fourth of July Freedom Run is going virtual this year for both the 5K and 10K.

Registration is free with the no shirt option.

But if participants would like a red tank-top commemorating their efforts, the cost is $15 and will be available at McCook Lettering beginning July 1.

If runners and walkers would like to have their tank top in time for the July 4 holiday, registrations must be received by Monday.

Otherwise, registration will remain open through noon on July 4 but shirts may or may not be received for the holiday.

The Virtual Freedom Run is held on the honor system: just register and then run or walk the 5K or 10K.

That is all that is required to be officially registered but pictures of the run or walk which can be emailed, texted or posted online are greatly appreciated.

While no placing points for first, second or third place will be awarded, participation points will be assigned to all participants. With all the changes to the 2020 schedule, end-of-the-year participation and placing awards are still to be determined.

Registration for the Virtual Freedom Run is now available online at www.republicanriverfitnessseries.com.
