Pinpoint Implements COVID-19 Safety Protocols, McCook office to be temporarily suspended

Monday, March 16, 2020

CAMBRIDGE, Neb. -- In its continued efforts to promote public protection and safety, Pinpoint responded to today’s notice of closure of McCook Public Schools with an announcement that it, too, will implement established company safety protocols to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus by temporarily suspending service at its McCook office location - 312 W B St.

This decision is simply a precautionary step as the health and safety of customers and staff continue to be top priorities for the local communications provider. The McCook office will remain open until 4pm today, March 16 and then close, on a temporary basis, until further notice.

At this time, Pinpoint’s Headquarters, located in Cambridge, NE will remain open but staffed on a limited basis, however customers are asked to limit in-office visits if at all possible. To help facilitate account payments, customers are encouraged to utilize the payment drop boxes located at their offices in McCook, Bartley, Cambridge, and Gothenburg.

Additionally, to reduce the need to go out, Pinpoint offers a convenient online payment portal at www.pnpt.com or suggests calling the office at 800-793-2788 for payment options using a debit/credit card or ACH from checking.

Pinpoint continues to promote and reinforce its special assistance initiative offering 60 days free internet service to qualifying local residents in all of its markets. Details regarding the service and scheduling of installations will be handled upon customer contact with the office either by phone or by on-line submission. Pinpoint reassures its customer base that all services will continue to be operational, however any customer who has service questions or is experiencing trouble should contact the office via phone and a technician will be dispatched if the issue cannot be resolved remotely.

Pinpoint continues its commitment to putting its customers and staff first and is confident that the proactive steps it is taking will help reduce the speed and breadth of the outbreak.

The company will continue to closely monitor the situation and adjust staffing and office operations in coordination with guidelines released from public health officials and trusted local sources.
