LEXINGTON, Neb. — Gabe Gans scored 30 points to lead a 58-19 blowout for McCook’s seventh-grade “A” team over Lexington Monday.

Josiah Wilkinson joined Gans in double figures with 10 points. The Bison scored one of their biggest wins this season after last week’s loss to Dundy County-Stratton seventh/eight-grade team.

Kyson Barger contributed six points on Monday while Davien Hanson and Osney Barber both added four.

Layton Winters and Trent Matson tossed in two points each for coach Dalton Pettera’s team.

The Bison “B” boys also defeated Lexington, 38-13, behind Barber’s 10 points Monday afternoon.

Barger and Matson each put eight points through the nets.

McCook “C” nearly completed a three-game sweep. However, Lexington salvaged a 12-12 deadlock.

Sutton LaBrie and Coleman Chism led McCook’s offense as they scored four points each.

The McCook seventh-graders play more home games when Gothenburg’s Swedes visit Thursday afternoon.

Opening tip time is set for 4:30 p.m. in McCook.
