Grannie Annie says thanks to many volunteers
Dear McCook and SW Nebraska friends,
Thank You my friends for helping me once again with my Adopt-a-Chaplain project in sending care packages to our Chaplains and our troops. This year we sent 320 boxes to our seven Chaplains. So far, I have heard from three of them saying the boxes have arrived and contents have been given out to many who are in remote places.
I had six packing dates with a total of 178 people, some working several times in kitchen or packing and taping boxes. What a crew of wonderful people!
After 15 years Dick and I will be retiring from this ministry as soon as my last chaplain comes home sometime this spring.
My prayer is for a church, organization or business Adopt ONE Chaplain and serve them while they are deployed.
I can help them get started by finding a Chaplain and give them pointers. No one has to do it like I did. Remember I started with ONE Chaplain. You will be rewarded in so many ways when you start this ministry.
Blessings to you and Merry Christmas
