McCook Football League games are all set

McCOOK, Neb. — The McCook Football League’s pre-season is hitting full speed with seven more practices set before games kick off on Friday, July 19.

Players break out full pads Thursday night as practices are taking place from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at McCook High’s practice fields.

They’ll continue full-pad practice Friday night, then Monday through Thursday evenings next week.

Weiland Field then welcomes games kicking off at 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30 p.m on the following three dates:

Friday, July 19

6:30 p.m — Colts vs. Ravens seventh/eighth graders; 7:30 — Eagles vs. Redskins fifth/sixth graders; 8:30 — Cowboys vs. Rams fifth/sixth graders.

Tuesday, July 23

6:30 p.m.— Cowboys vs. Redskins fifth/sixth graders; 7:30 — Ravens vs. Colts, seventh/eighth graders; 8:30 — Rams vs. Eagles fifth/sixth graders.

Thursday, July 25

6:30 p.m. — Eagles vs. Cowboys fifth/sixth graders; 7:30 — Redskins vs. Rams fifth/sixth graders; 8:30 — Colts vs. Ravens seventh/eighth graders.

If weather forces a postponement, games will be played on Friday, July 26.

There were also be two more full-pad practices on July 22 and July 24 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the McCook High practice fields.
