70th birthday

The family of Wilber Ruppert of Culbertson, Neb., is celebrating his 70th birthday with an open house and card shower. The open house is on his birthday, Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018, from 2-4 p.m. at the Horse Creek Inn at 1 Bison Holiday Drive, McCook, Neb., (north of McDonalds). He is the son of the Kenneth and Leona (Magee) Ruppert and grew up and worked on the family farm north of McCook. He attended the University of Nebraska School of Agriculture in Curtis, Neb., graduating in 1967. He moved from the family farm and began employment for Bunstock Conoco in 1986 and Frenchman Valley Co-op in 1995 as a technician field specialist until his retirement in 2013. Currently, he volunteers at the United Methodist Church as a trustee on the board and helps out many friends, family, and neighbors when needed. His family includes his wife, Nancy of Culbertson; children, Tammy (Kenny) Carpenter of McCook, Neb., Amy (Chris) Loibl of Allen, Texas, Jamey (Jeff) Keen of Prairie View, Kan., Kevin (Kacie) Ruppert of Culbertson, Rob (Mardel) Manary of Wallace, Neb., and Myndi (Kc) Merrihew of North Platte, Neb.; and 15 grandchildren.
