TORRINGTON, Wyo. -- The McCook Community College golf team finished second at the Eastern Wyoming Tournament Friday.

After trailing the Lancers by eight strokes on Thursday, the Indians dropped eight more strokes in the final round but finished 38 shots ahead of third-place Central Wyoming.

“It was always going to be tough to beat Eastern on their home course,” Loop said. “We had perfect weather both days.”

Sophomore Cameron Lampe (Windsor, Colo.) paced the Indians with a tournament-low 68 on Friday to finish in a three-way tie for the lead. He finished with a two-day total of 142.
