Mobile Pantry set for Bartley

Monday, September 17, 2018

BARTLEY, Neb. — The Mobile Pantry truck of the Food Bank for the Heartland, Omaha, plans a one-day distribution in the Bartley Community Hall on Saturday, Sept. 22, from noon until 2 p.m.

Shoppers MUST bring their own boxes and bags, and preferably some wheeled cart or wagon to move them. The elderly and handicapped are encouraged not to shop alone because the boxes get heavy. There is no delivery service.

Shoppers must live in Nebraska. There are no income restrictions or forms to fill out at sign-up.

The goal of the Food Bank’s state-wide Mobile Pantry program is to provide food where there is a high need, but limited resources.

The next Mobile Pantry event will be Saturday, Nov. 10, in McCook.
