FCB Juniors are swinging strong
McCOOK, Neb. — McCook’s First Central Bank Juniors have posted some impressive numbers while building a 15-7 record and momentum entering their home stretch.
The Juniors will host B-6 Area Legion tournament play in McCook starting next week following a home game against Minden on Sunday.
A glance at some of the FCB offensive leaders through 22 contests:
Runs batted in: Alec Langan 27, Colton Stevens 23, Tanner Jacobs 21, Joel Carter 20.
Runs scored: Konor Rakes 33, Stevens 30, Jacobs 26, Carter 22.
Total hits: Langan 24, Rakes 22, Stevens 20, Jacobs 19.
Doubles: Langan 9, Rakes 6, Stevens 4, Carter 3, Joey Gonzales 3.
Triples: Carter 2.

Jordan Chauncy’s 5-0 record and 36 strikeouts lead the FCB pitching staff. He’s posted a solid earned-run average of 3.58.
Colton Stevens has gone 3-1 with a 2.52 ERA.
Rakes has split four decisions with another respectable ERA at 3.00.
First pitch for Sunday’s McCook-Minden contest is 1 p.m. at the Jaycees Complex.
That will wrap up the regular season as teams position for top seeds entering area tournament play.
