The family of Owen Elmer of Indianola, Neb., is hosting an open house in honor of his 80th birthday. The open house is Sunday, June 17, 2018, from 2 to 4 p.m., at St. Catherine’s Church Hall, 815  D Street, in Indianola. He was a local business owner and Nebraska state senator. His family includes his wife, Donna (Hoyt) Elmer; children, Crinda (Rick) McConville of Indianola, Lewis (LaVenda) Elmer of Cedar Park, Texas, Jeana (Bryan) Kruger of Holbrook, Neb., and Sharma (Rob) Dunder of Longmont, Colo.; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
