Indians fall 6-4 to Colby

McCOOK, Neb. — The McCook Community College baseball team came up short Monday in a 6-4 loss to Colby Community College.

The Indians got on the scoreboard in the fourth. Jason Hill (Surrey, British Columbia) doubled to lead off the inningand scored on a wild pitch.

Trailing 6-1 in seventh inning with one out, Michael Sookdeo (Brampton, Ontario) was hit by a pitch and scored on a double off the bat of Chris Bellemare (Grande-Carriere, Quebec). A balk sent Bellemare to third and he scored on an RBI-groundout from Mathew Tremblay (Saint Charles, Quebec).

Freshman Beau Hawley (Greeley, Colo.) singled to lead off the bottom of the eighth inning, went to second on a bunt by Julio Seperich (Las Vegas, Nevada), advance to third on a Jason Hill groundout to first base and scored on a wild pitch to make it 6-5.

Casey Quagliano (Colby, Kan.) went the final 2.1 innings allowing no hits or runs, walking three and striking out three.
