With sophomore starter Colby Cox and freshman bench-player Anna Sanjuan injured, MCC suited up eight and four MCC starters played at least 36 minutes.

“We had to play a different style and new positions on the fly and did well,” Fernetti said, “I’m proud of the effort.”

Freshman Aliyah Foote (Lawrenceville, Ga.) led MCC with 20 points, which included a pair of 3-pointers on seven attempts, and a four-for-six showing from the free-throw line.

Sophomore Gabby Enloe (Colorado Springs, Colo.) has 12 points and 12 rebounds.

JNC shot 46.3 percent from the field, 38.5 percent from distance, and 64.3 percent from the line.

The Plainswomen enjoyed a 52-34 rebound edge.

“This team has really persevered in a tough season,” Fernetti said.
