LINCOLN, Neb. — Cambridge and Arapahoe athletes captured five Cornhusker State Games gold medals according to the most recent on-line results.

One Arapahoe athlete delivered three championships as Desteny Miller delivered an awesome performance against other top 15-18 age female swimmers.

Miller raced to championships in the 100-yard freestyle, 50-yard backstroke and also helped her 200-yard medley relay rule Nebraska’s ultimate summer showdown.

She splashed on to five medals with a second during the 15-18 mixed 200-yard freestyle relay, and third among 50-yard freestylers.

Meanwhile, a great Cambridge combination was winning Cornhusker triathalon titles.

Cambridge High volleyball coach Margo Kent won the super sprint triathalon for females age 45-49.

Bill Kent claimed the male sprint title while challenging that same age division.

Jacey Kent jumped into the family fun and finished among age 11-14 girls. She ran the triathalon super spring just like Margo Kent.

Nobody wrapped up Cornhusker Games top three places like the Trenton wrestling group.

As mentioned on Friday, Jared Priest placed second in his age 25-plus scholastic division at 171-181 pounds.

Placing third were Conner Grose (scholastic, age 11-12, 106-115 pounds, James Bryner (scholastic, age 20-plus, 136-144 pounds) and David Gross (scholastic, age 9-10, 77-82 pounds).

The games concluded on Sunday.
