ARAPAHOE, Neb. -- Steven Lee Brakhahn, 60, of Arapahoe, died Sunday (Jan. 15, 2017), at Cambridge Memorial Hospital in Cambridge, Neb.

He was born Jan. 14, 1957, at Oxford, Neb., to Clarence Carl and June Marie Brakhahn.

He graduated from Holbrook High School in 1975. He worked at an auto repair shop and farmed with his father. He also worked for Arapahoe and Bertrand Coop before being a floater operator for Cargill. He drove a truck for 23 years before stopping for health reasons.

He was a menber of Trinity Lutheran Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence.

Survivors include his mother, June Brakhahn of Arapahoe; sister, Theresa and husband, William Shearer of Arapahoe; and numerous relatives and friends.

Visitation is Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., at Wenburg Funeral Chapel in Arapahoe.

Funeral services are Thursday, Jan. 19, 2017, at 1 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church of Arapahoe with Rev. Brett Hinrichs officiating. Interment is at the Hendley Cemetery at Hendley.
