CAMBRIDGE, Neb. -- Chet David Wickizer, age 28, of Cambridge, died at his home in Cambridge on Nov. 5, 2016.

He was born in McCook, Neb., on Nov. 29, 1988 to Clint and Donna (Karp) Wickizer. The family moved to Cambridge, where Chet attended and graduated from Cambridge High School in 2007. He then attended University of Nebraska at Kearney for one year where he studied art and artistic design. Later he went to Milford Technical College studying non-destructive testing.

Chet enjoyed family time, especially with his nieces and nephews. He also enjoyed reading, fishing, skateboarding, golf and playing his guitars. Chet had been employed at Town Talk Restaurant in Cambridge and Mac's Drive-In of McCook. He loved to help others and had done some construction work.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna Wickizer in 2009; maternal grandparents, Fred and Verdie Karp; and an aunt, Linda Dethlefson.

Chet is survived by his father, Clint Wickizer of Cambridge; sister, Jennifer and husband, Chris Ellingson of Elkhorn, Neb.; brother, Beau and wife, Jessie Buffington of Ogallala, Neb.; paternal grandparents, Bernard and Shirley Wickizer of Cambridge; aunts, Jeanette Jamison of Parker, Colo., and Barb Mayo of Kearney, Neb.; uncles, David and wife, Julia Karp of McCook and Tom Wickizer of Lincoln, Neb.; Clay "Tater" and wife, Cindy Wickizer of Wallace, Neb.; many nieces and nephews.

Rosary will be recited at the Lockenour-Jones Mortuary on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016, at 7 p.m. and Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. with Father Ken Wehrs. Interment will be in the Indianola Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9 a.m. until after rosary. Friends may leave on-line condolences at lockenour.com.
