Dear Editor,

Thank You McCook!

I want to offer a huge "thank you" to everyone involved with the Nebraska Art Teachers Association conference in McCook this past week. Art Teachers from around the state gathered in McCook to work together, learn from each other and be inspired to teach in a virtual world. I heard nothing but complimentary remarks throughout the whole weekend. Attendees spoke about our wonderful downtown area mentioning everything from the shops to the bricks using words like, "vibrant" and "hard-working" and "impressive".

Tremendous praise for Jan and Van Korell who opened their Frank Lloyd Wright home for tours. Teachers were very excited about touring their beautifully restored home. The Keystone Business Center was a perfect setting for our home base and impressed everyone.

Our keynote speaker, Kenneth Shelton from LA, spoke of the Power of Voice in a Digital World, on Saturday at the High School. Huge thanks to Joel Bednar and Tina Williams for Tech help and to McCook Schools for allowing us to use the High School.

Special thanks to; McCook Community Foundation, Nebraska Arts Council, Jan and Van Korell, MNB, McCook Greenhouse and Floral Design, MCC, Becky Meyers and many others who volunteered or donated.

We are proud to call McCook home!
