105th birthday

The family of Mildred L. Zink of McCook is requesting a card shower in honor of her 105th birthday that was Aug. 21, 2016. She was born in 1911 and graduated from Red Willow High School. She then graduated from nurses training in Denver, Colo., and worked at the U.S. Army Airbase north of McCook during World War II. Later, she was director of nursing at the Cambridge Hospital and also worked at St. Catherine's Hospital in McCook. Cards of congratulations will reach her at Hillcrest Nursing Home, 309 W.
