BARTLEY, Neb. -- Wayne Moore, age 86, of Bartley, passed away at the Beaver City Manor on Aug. 18, 2015.

He was born on Sept. 23, 1928, north of Bartley in Red Willow County on the Rosier place, to Ralph and Sylvia (Rosier) Moore. He attended country school through the eighth grade, when he began farming with his family.

Wayne entered the U.S.Army and served in the Korean Conflict, recieving the Purple Heart. Upon his discharge from the Army, he returned to the family farm.

Wayne was a member of the American Legion and the V.F.W. post of Bartley. He enjoyed raising hereford cattle and farming the family farm. He enjoyed family times with his nieces and nephews.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Hazel Durner and Barbara Wymore; brother: Harold Moore; and brothers-in- law, Eldon Durner and Marvin Wymore.

He is survived by his sister, Jo and husband, Glenn DeVries of Trumbull, Nebraska; brother, Stan and wife, Cindy Moore of Bartley; sisters-in-law, Marion Moore of McCook and Norma Wymore of Cambridge; along with many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, Aug. 22, 2015, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Clark Bates officiaitng. Interment will be in the Bartley Cemetery. Memorials may be left in Wayne's name at the Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel for the McCook Christian Church.
