Raymond Henry Straub

OAKLEY, Kan. -- Raymond Henry Straub, 89, died June 5, 2015, in Oakley.

He was born Dec. 23, 1925, to William and Annie (Hofer) Straub. He was an U.S. Army veteran who served in World War II. He married Bernice Deaver on July 31, 1946, in Colby, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John Straub.

He is survived by his wife Bernice, daughters; Linda (Terry) Coats of Wichita, Kansas, Pam (Steve) Van Eaton of Monument, Kansas and Tami (Brian) Suiter of Lincoln, Nebraska; eight grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren; brother, Melvin of Colorado Springs, Colorado and sister, Arlene of Eufaula, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews and friends.

A memorial service was Tuesday, June 9, 2015, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Oakley. Inurnment was at Winona Cemetery in Winona, Kansas.
