County board opening bids for jail equipment
McCOOK, Nebraska -- Red Willow County, Nebraska, commissioners will open bids for kitchen and storage equipment at the new jail at 9:30 a.m., Monday, in their office on the third floor of the courthouse in McCook.
The commissioners' weekly meeting begins at 9 a.m.; the meeting is open to the public.
At 10:30 a.m., chief probation officer Lonnie Folchert will discuss office space for a new juvenile officer, and at 11:30 a.m., assessor Sandra Kotschwar will request authorization to buy a vehicle for the assessor's office.
Weed control superintendent Bill Elliott will present annual noxious weed control reports at 11:45 a.m.
Correspondence includes a letter from the Nebraska Commission on Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice confirming the Nebraska Jail Standards Board's annual inspection of the county's jail/holding cells on Wednesday, Feb. 12.
