Stations of the Cross

On Saturday, Aug. 17, a set of original sculptures by Cambridge, Nebraska, artist Sondra L. Jonson was dedicated at Christ the King Catholic Church in Gering, Nebraska. The 14 sculptures, custom designed for the parish, make up the Stations of the Cross - illustrating Christ's journey from judgement to crucifixion and burial. The Rev. Gerald Harr, pastor of Christ the King Church, conducted the dedication after the 5 p.m. Mass. From inception to installation, the project encompassed 15 months of planning and work.
