Kyle Molstad of "Colby Canvas," Colby, Kansas, (above) and crew members Chris Gatz and Mark Tole and Colby Canvas owner Stanley Molstad install a replacement awning at "Knowlen and Yates" at 315 Norris Ave. in downtown McCook, Nebraska, Aug. 15. Knowlen and Yates owner Mike Ford said he put up the first awning when the store was new in 1998; this new awning replaces one damaged over time and by hail this summer. Ford said he has also reapplied the "Vitrolite" glass tile -- structural pigmented glass, "the height of class" in glass, a popular building material during the first half of the 20th century -- that graces the facade of the kitchenwares store.
