Surveyor marks corners for highway project

McCOOK, Nebraska -- Red Willow County, Nebraska, surveyor Gary Dicenta will mark 11 section corners before construction starts on "Danbury West," on Nebraska Highway 89 from Danbury, Nebraska, west, in March.
County commissioners Monday morning complied with a request from the Nebraska Department of Roads that Dicenta tie out 11 corners before the start of the 91⁄2-mile, 125-day federal-aid highway construction project.
According to the NDOR Website, bids for "Danbury West" will be opened at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 17, in Lincoln.
The scope of work includes asphalt resurfacing, bridge deck overlay, bridge rails and guard rails.
