Counterfeit bills in circulation

McCOOK, Nebraska -- Several counterfeit bills received by area merchants recently are distinguishable by having an unusually small margin on the top white border of the bills, according to the police department. McCook Chief of Police Isaac Brown said his department had received 3-4 counterfeit $20 bills over the last couple of weeks that could be identified by that abnormality.

If the information leads to the arrest of a suspect, the caller will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000 and can remain anonymous.
