CAMBRIDGE, Nebraska -- Michael Alan Morgan Jr. died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012, in Red Willow County, Nebraska, at the age of 34.

He was born June 3, 1977, in McCook, Nebraska, the son of Michael and Jill (Haag) Morgan.

Michael grew up in Indianola, Nebraska, where he graduated from Republican Valley High School in 1996. He attended Labette Community College in Parsons, Kansas.

On Oct. 18, 1997, Michael married Heather Bowen in Parsons, Kansas. They made their home in Cambridge, Nebraska, where he was a route manager for Federal Express.

His family was always his first priority. He was a most patient and loving dad. He loved his wife with all he had. He was hard working and an excellent athlete who had a successful wrestling career in high school where he achieved a hard earned second place at state competition in his senior year and also had a successful college wrestling career. He was a talented artist and he founded M2 Graphic Design, and used it as a service for family and friends.

He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior on June 2004.

He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Ruth Morgan, Evelyn (Smith) Haag and grandfather John Haag.

Michael is survived by his wife, Heather Morgan of Cambridge; four children, Mason Morgan, Hannah Morgan, Halley Morgan and Matthew Morgan; his parents, Mike and Jill Morgan; his sister, Angel and her husband, Doug Petty; sister, Faith and her husband, Troy Gonzales; brother, Caleb Morgan and wife Jenna; brother, Nate Morgan; sister-in-law, Shannon Bowen and Naillson Lee; nieces and nephews, Felicity Petty, Isaiah Petty, Trinity Petty, Lydia Petty, Josiah Gonzales, Jaylen Gonzales, Isabella Gonzales, Rylynn Morgan, Jordan Lee, and Makayla Lee; his grandfather, Donal Morgan; relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, at the Cornerstone Fellowship in McCook with Pastor Robert Putz and Terry McCorkle officiating. Interment will be in the Indianola Cemetery at Indianola, Nebraska.

There will be a private family viewing. Memorials may be given in his name.
