Cuellar, Powell exchange vows

Lauren and Tyler Powell

RAPID CITY, South Dakota -- Lauren Kristene Cuellar of Culbertson, Nebraska and Tyler Robert Powell of Rapid City, South Dakota were united in marriage on June 4, 2011, at Copper Canyon Lodge in Rapid City with the Rev. Bob Savot officiating.

Parents of the couple are Steve and Mary Cuellar of Culbertson and Robert and Kaelynn Powell of Rapid City. Grandparents of the bride are Rex and Avis Morell, and Marilyn Cuellar, all of McCook, Nebraska, and the late Manuel Cuellar. Grandparents bridegroom Warren and Helen Walraven of Meckling, South Dakota, and Danita Powell of Rapid City and the late Larry Powell.

The maid of honor was Jeannine Glesmann of Omaha, Nebraska. Bridesmaids were cousin of the bridegroom, Amy Powell of Casper, Wyoming, Heather Rystrom and Brandi Tonkel, both of Rapid City. The flower girl was Madisyn Ahrlin.

The best man was cousin of bridegroom, Zach Powell of Casper. The bridegroomsmen were Darrell Strong of Lake Tahoe, California, and Tyler Wright and Trevor Fish, both of Rapid City. The ushers were brother of the bride, Louis Cuellar of Culbertson, brother of the bridegroom, Ryan Powell of Seattle, Washington, and Chase Volin of Omaha.

The host couple was Dan and Peggy Dueland of McCook, Nebraska.

An outdoor reception took place at Copper Canyon Lodge.

The bride graduated from Culbertson High School in 2001 and Black Hills State University in 2006 with a degree in human services. She is employed with Child Protection Services with the South Dakota Department of Social Services.

The bridegroom graduated from Stevens High School in 2004 and Casper College in 2006 with a degree in fire science. He is employed with the Rapid City Fire Department.

The couple resides in Rapid City.
