Megan Mescher and Brian Kollmorgen, both of Kearney, Nebraska announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.

Parents of the bride-to-be are Gerald and Connie Mescher of Albion, Nebraska. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Richard and Beth Kollmorgen of Stratton, Nebraska. Grandparents of the bride-to-be are MaryAnn Mescher pf Albion and Lorraine Seier of Petersburg, Nebraska. Grandparents of the prospective bridegroom are Paul and Betty Erdman of Benkelman, Nebraska

The bride-to-be is a 2004 graduate of Boone Central High School and a 2007 graduate of Southeast Community College in Lincoln with an Associate of Applied Sciences in respiratory therapy. She works as a respiratory therapist at Mary Lanning Memorial Healthcare in Hastings, Nebraska.

The prospective bridegroom is a 1998 graduate of Stratton High School and a 2002 graduate of UNL with a bachelor's degree in mechanize systems management and a minor degree in agronomy. He works as a personal marketing manager for Cargill Ag Horizons Marketing Service.

A wedding is planned for Aug. 20, 2011, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Albion.

The couple plans to reside in Kearney before moving out to the Stratton area next winter.
