Letter to the Editor

It's not over ...

Monday, December 27, 2010

Dear Editor,

The legislation passed by the liberals in Washington D.C. on Friday, Dec. 17, A.D. 2010 was not (so to speak) the final blow to this great country. As Pastor John Hagee says, "It's not over until God says it's over."

Sincerely,

George R. Anderson,

McCook

  • Agreed. Some times, God uses a TKO, just to get us where He wants us, so He can help us, on our knees; presuming He considers us worth helping us out of the hole we are in, and not filling in the hole we dug, over us.

We all need to repent our ways, and pray He forgives us, as He did Nineveh. That sure made Jonah mad. Better to be a Nineveh, than a Sodom, or Gomorrah.

  • One presumes George's original rant refers to the repeal of the hideous DADT policy which caused PEOPLE who had volunteered to serve their country in the military to have to live a lie.As a combat veteran of a previous military misadventure I can assure George that anyone concerned about the sexual orientation of a fellow soldier, or anything other than the mission and the safety of those around them is a danger to themselves, the mission, and their fellow soldiers- as I presume George would be.I wonder what Navy in his self-appointed role as spokesman for the deity will recommend as a pugilistic punishment for Israel and their military- roundly admired for their efficiency and proficiency- which has allowed gays to serve openly since 1993 without effect on the performance of that organization.George is correct in that it was a Liberal decision- why liberals have taken the lead in such destructive policies as the extension of suffrage and civil(HUMAN) rights to women and people of color and near as I can tell we're a better nation for it.I'd say to Navy better to be an unbeliever and live on your feet rather than on your knees quavering before the jealous wrath of some Big Invisible Sky Boohoo.I'd also recommend that Pastor Hagee enlist except I'm afraid his rotund,self-righteous, sanctimonious presence would

danger to other soldiers greater than the repeal of an inhumane policy.
