Did you deliver the Gazette?
Thursday, September 30, 2010
As 2010 winds down, we're already thinking about the new year, which will be a special one for the Gazette.
The Red Willow Gazette began publication in 1911. Talk to anyone who has lived in our community over the past century, and there's a good chance you'll hear a story about his or her experience as a Gazette carrier -- for many, it was an introduction to the world of work and business.
We'll have more plans to announce in the coming months, but for now, we're asking former Gazette newspaper carriers of the past and present to submit their most memorable stories about delivering the news.
Please e-mail them to: editor@mccookgazette.com, and put "carrier stories" in the subject line, or snail mail to Carrier Stories, Editor, McCook Daily Gazette, P.O. Box 1268, McCook NE 69001.
