Remembering a great man

Dear Editor,

My name is Myron Bennett. I grew up in Danbury, and started to McCook College in 1958. One of the first college officials I met was E.P. Baruth. His involvement wiht college students and his care and concern for their success and achievement are legendary. Now for my story. I am spending about one month in St. Luke's rest home in Kearney, and as I checked in, I noticed a young woman whose name tag said Allison Baruth on it. E.P. came to mind, and I asked her about him, and at first, she was unsure, but later said it was a possibility, and now we are saying that E.P. was her great-grandfather. The reason for this letter is to inform people of an interesting and unusual happening and to remember one of the great people in our past.
