Cambridge golfers 5th at home meet

CAMBRIDGE -- Cambridge High School golfers kicked off their season with their own Cambridge Invitational Wednesday.

The Trojans finished fifth in the tournament.

North Platte St. Pats took the team title with Alma following in second and Bertrand's golfers finishing third.

Jordan Arensdorf of North Platte won the individual scoring, shooting a 72 for the tournament title.

Gage Gregg of Bertrand followed with an 80 and Bryant Klotthor of Alma was third posting an 82.

Michael Hoxmeier led Southern Valley in the individual scores.

Hoxmeier finished 10th with a total of 89. Teammate Jeff Sladley was 12th with a 91.

Zach Fogel finished 13th for Arapahoe. Fogel shot a 91 for the day.
