HOXIE, Kan. -- Catherine Frances Campbell, 82, died Sunday (Dec. 28, 2008) at Sheridan County Health Complex in Hoxie.

She was born Aug. 11, 1926, to Lambert and Frances (Haffner) Kraft at Park.

She married Maurice Campbell Nov. 24, 1948. They lived near Hoxie all their married life. He died Nov. 26, 1994.

She was a member of St. Frances Catholic Church and St. Frances Sodality, both of Hoxie.

She is survived by her sons, Carl Campbell and Tom and wife, Deb Campbell, all of Hoxie; daughters, Janice and husband, Leon Breit of Hays, Kan., and Donna and husband, Rick Coulter of McCook; sister, Eva Theno of Truth or Consequences, N.M.; a sister-in-law, Henrietta Kraft of Tucson, Ariz.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday at St. Frances Catholic Church in Hoxie, with burial following at St. Frances Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation is today until 8 p.m. with a vigil service at 7 p.m. at Mickey-Leopold Funeral Home in Hoxie.

Memorials may be made to the Sheridan County Health Complex and sent in care of the funeral home.
