Letter to the Editor

Sky's the limit

Tuesday, September 16, 2008

Dear Editor,

It is uplifting to know new businesses are getting off the ground. Yet, some of us have their head in the clouds. The sky is the limit.

What about blue-sky laws? Should grant applicants be put on a rotating basis?

What goes up must come down! We can only hope the next new business is not fly-by-night.

Steve Stramel,

McCook

P.S. Balloon payment?

  • Hey, some of the best ideas are drempt up over margarittas on a beach in Mexico. Mabey someone would give me $300,000 for doing nothing. I know, lets TAKE taxpayers money and invest it in sub-prime loans, you know the kind of people who can't get a loan from a bank. Call it a sucess if they pay back a small percentage.
