Season ends for MNB Seniors

LEXINGTON -- The season came to a close for the McCook National Bank Seniors with a 7-4 loss to Holdrege Saturday in a consolation bracket game at the Class B-6 American Legion Baseball District Tournament at Lexington.

The MNB Seniors, coached by Phil Macke and Steve Johnson and consisting of players from McCook and Cambridge, posted a 15-18 record.

McCook posted a 2-2 record at the district tournament.

The Seniors lost to First Bank of Minden 11-6 on Wednesday, defeated Gothenburg 7-6 in 12 innings on Thursday and beat Hershland 11-7 on Friday.

Members of the team were Jeff Lorentz, Austin Larson, Matt Thayer, Cletus Macke, Cody Broomfield, Justin Terry, Nick Kenny, Shane Wallen, Jackson Johnson, Dillon Goltl, Adam Kruger, Mike Grabowski, Sam Frazier and Colton Cochran.
