Foot chase, vehicle search

Saturday, April 5, 2008

Nebraska State Patrol Investigator Paul Gaboury (left) and McCook Police Dept. patrol officer Randall Datus search the pickup owned by a McCook man who abandoned it in Barnett Park and ran on foot when a State Patrol officer tried to serve him with an arrest warrant out of Cheyenne County late Friday morning. The man, whose name was not available Friday afternoon, was apprehended at the corner of South Seventh (north of the park) and transported by McCook ambulance to Community Hospital of McCook suffering from shortness of breath; a spokesman for the hospital could release no information on the man Friday afternoon. His pickup was hauled from the park and impounded. The investigation continues. (Connie Jo Discoe/McCook Daily Gazette)

  • The physical law still applies: Man in car slower than radio, and man on foot slower than car. Sorry folks, but running away from the police will only lengthen the 'RAP' sheet.

  • THE MAN THAT WAS APPREHENDED, IS SOMEONE I KNOW WELL, I DON'T HAVE TO BE TOLD WHO IT IS BECAUSE OF THE KNOWLEDGE I KNOW ABOUT HIM, THIS PERSON IS VERY DANGEROUS, A TICKING TIME BOMB READY TO EXPLOD AT ANY TIME SOMETHING REALLY NEEDS TO BE DONE WITH THIS INVIDUAL, BEFORE HE HURTS ANYONE ELSE WHO MIGHT GET IN HIS PATH. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS I HAVE SEEN HIM BEAT HIS WIFE, OTHER PEOPLE'S CHILDREN, AND ANIMALS HE REALLY NEEDS HELP OR BE PUT IN SOME INSTUTION.
