Letter to the Editor

A case of BDS

Wednesday, October 3, 2007

Dear Editor,

It is obvious that the individual mailing picture clippings of President Bush to your office is suffering from an acute case BDS.  According to wikipedia, BDS or Bush Derangement Syndrome refers to the tendency by some liberals to blame President Bush for virtually every ill in the world.  This would also include opposing a position advocated by the President just because he supports it, regardless of the positions merits.

BDS first quoted by Charles Krauthammer a columnist and a former psychiatrist described it as "the acute onset of paranoia in otherwise normal people in reaction to the policies, the presidency -- nay -- the very existence of George W. Bush"

People with BDS lose the capability for rational thought which can last from just a few days or in this case years.  BDS sufferers will blame the president for any and all types of disasters both natural and man made despite abundant evidence to the contrary.

BDS sufferers still believe that Bush stole the 2000 election and he tampered with the voting machines in Ohio to win the 2004 election.  Of course there are liberals who say Bush is too stupid to have done this so it must have been Karl Rove.  These people are known to suffer from KRS (Karl Rove Syndrome).

BDS sufferers are in every community including ours.  They can easily be spotted because they refuse to remove the Kerry / Edwards bumper sticker from their vehicle.  Sadly there is no cure for BDS.  So if you run into a BDS sufferer just smile, nod your head like you're paying attention to their latest rant and come up with an excuse to leave ASAP.

  • LOL good one! although President Bush has made blunders, he is still President of the United States, and as such, is deserving, at least, of respect, if not for the man, at least for the office. All the leftists may opine, but no one KNOWS what they would have done, had they been in office - only conjecture.

  • I find this very sad to read. There is such a limited view and your seem unable to see the suffering caused by your current administration.

How can you accept the lies? How can you justify your right to torture? How can you accept your government's choice to hold people without trial? How can you justify your intrusion into a country that was no threat to you? How can you accept continuous errors, mistakes and mishaps when your government is supposed to be your highest body? How can you defend the actions of those proven to have misled you? How can you allow your government to keep sending your young, men and women, into danger without justification? How can you accept the death and suffering of your young who are treated appallingly in return for their loyalty and service?

Surely you want...EXPECT better than this, of YOUR government?

    Namaste,

    Tina Louise
