More betrayal?

Monday, September 17, 2007

Dear Editor,

I had to smile when I read Mike's betrayal ["Who betrayed whom?" (http://www.mccookgazette.com/story/1277106.html)].

Mike's friend was concerned about who got betrayed -- without any mention of the friend's betrayal of the wife and family.

It seems the friend was so wrapped up in his personal agony he failed to realize what this had done to his wife and children.

He must have convinced himself that the wife and children could be betrayed and no mention of them would be necessary. But, those of us who know better believe in the old saying, "what goes around comes around."

We don't need to sit in judgement. We just sit back and watch those who play their hand at a stacked deck get what they deserve. Mike's friend has probably played a few more hands with the deck stacked against him. when you hurt the very people that love you the most 'you git what'cha give'.

When you put your head down on your pillow at night you have to ask yourself, did I do my very best today? Was I honorable? If the answer is yes then close your eyes and go to sleep. If it was no, you'd better get back up and fix it 'cause you may not get another chance.
