Congratulations

Dear Editor,

Congratulations to the McCook High School Band and Mrs. Priebe for earning a superior rating at District Music Contest.

And, thanks to the young musicians who have stuck with the program. A very small Class A band with a very unbalanced instrumentation had to play very well to earn that rating. Mrs. Priebe must be commended for her wise choice of music for such a group. It will take several years to rebuild the program and Mrs. Priebe knows how to go about it. If you have a chance, attend a junior high band concert, and you will know that bigger and better things will start happening.
