Bell-ringer of a year

Dear Editor,

On behalf of the Salvation Army and the Red Willow County Ministerial Association, I would like to thank everyone in the community for a successful bell ringing session.

This includes all of the groups, organizations, and individuals who gave of their time during the busy Christmas season. This year saw an increase of $1,531.92 over last year for a total of $10,201.82.

The organizations and groups that helped (listed by the order in which they appeared on the schedule) include Evangelical Free Church, Southwest Nebraska Community Theatre Association, Little Rascals 4-H Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Hospital Auxiliary, Family Frolics Square Dance, Hillcrest Nursing Home, Red Willow County Ministerial Association, McCook Harvest Church and youth group, McCook Christian Church, Masonic Lodge, St. Alban's Episcopal Church and youth group, Our Savior's Lutheran youth group, McCook Sertoma Club, McCook Cordials, and Assembly of God youth group.

In addition the following individuals participated: Joan Koch, Colleen Grant, Lori O'Day, Marilyn Brandt, Colletta and Buck Parsons, David Noe, Greg Roberts, Jennifer McQuistan, Ted Blythman, Mike Anthony, Tom and Karen West, Kathleen Hanson, Gena Hess, Kay Hardin, Dan and Verna Horton, Ruthanne Klein, Alicia, Amber, and Brandon Ulmer, Ginger Bruner, Sara Rippen, Elaine Wells, Gary Leitner, Nancy Mousel, Jack Stevens, Jeff Villegas, Dan and Dawn Cribbs.

Finally, Wal-Mart and TierOne Bank are to be commended. Wal-Mart provided the site for the bell ringing and TierOne Bank handled the deposits.
