Letter to the Editor

We're at war

Thursday, December 7, 2006

Dear Editor,

Much of the news media presents the war in Iraq as nothing more than a war against a few Muslim Fundamentalists, having nothing to do with the "normal" moderate Muslim majority. To a very (underline "very") small degree, this is somewhat correct. My personal opinion deviates considerably, and here is why:

The Koran, the Muslim bible, dictates complete subjection, worldwide, to the god Allah. Muslims are to offer conversion to everyone, because Islam will not accept any other faith to exist on earth. Should a person (you or I) refuse to convert, that person must be killed, violently.

All Muslims are taught, from childhood, through church, school, family honor, and even bed-time stories, to HATE every person not of the Islamic faith, especially Jews and Christians. All other religions, as I see it, will be "cleaned up" after the major two are destroyed.

We are told radical and moderate Muslims do not think the same. Remember, it is the Koran that orders what happens.

The radical, better known as fundamentalist, Muslim actively seeks out ways to destroy those they hate, citing the Koran as their authority. They HATE so completely, they even attack, and kill, other Muslims simply for not quite believing as they do, Shiite verses Sunni verses Kurd. That is much akin to Methodist versus, Lutheran, versus Baptist versus Catholic killing each other because of our minor differences in faith.

The moderate, peaceful, good neighbor, Muslim, seems to be of no threat, however, consider this: As noted in a recent survey, as noted on one of the Christian networks, states that over 75 percent of the 'moderates' surveyed stated that the Koran supercedes the American Constitution, and they would "obey" the Koran over any other law contrary to the Koran.

That, in my humble opinion, makes the moderate Muslim almost as dangerous as the fundamentalist Muslim. What I am hearing is that they would only kill us if they were ordered to do so by their Islamic leaders.

Are we at war? YES! We, as a Christian based society, have mega-problems understanding that type of mentality, BUT, it does exist; and we had better get used to it, and prepared for more death and destruction in the near future! We, of the Jewish, and Christian, free world, can only minimize the damage, by supporting our troops, and Government, to do their jobs right.

Oh yes, I have been asked, as a retired military type, "why are we in Iraq?" My answer is this: 'Would you prefer that the Islamic war being waged against us be fought by our trained, expert, warriors, or would you prefer to fight Islam on your own doorstep, as an amateur?' I'm sorry for the bluntness, but that is as succinct as I can phrase it.

Should you want a better explanation of the above opinion, please find a "Prophecy oriented" minister, to gain more insight. You may also call me, Arley, at (308) 692-3377.
