Support appreciated

Dear Editor,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the people of Southwest Nebraska for their continued support of Evening for Hospice.

This yearly fund raiser provides more than financial support for our mission, it also provides opportunities for our staff to gain knowledge and support for our hospice families Our Hospice team consists of Dr. Rick Klug as our medical director, Rev. Jeff Thurman as our Hospice minister, Diane Snadall, RN as our director. Registered nurses include myself, Cathy Nichols, Karen Capps, Carol Young, Deb James and Pat Dizmang.

Nurses aides include Linda Thurman and Connie Downey. Becky Mai is our social worker. Office staff include Afton Myers and Branigan Baumann.

We also have Hospice volunteers that are priceless to our families. This group of people working together help our Hospice families realize that life is a balance of hanging on and letting go.

I once heard a saying "It's OK to think about what you want to do until it's time to start doing what you were meant to do."

We were meant to do Hospice care and we are able to do that because of the support we receive from Southwest Nebraska. You make a difference in peoples' lives and we thank you for that.
