Letter to the Editor

All the 'rights'

Tuesday, November 28, 2006

Dear Editor,

You are here. They are there. It happens. A 911 call is made.

Within three minutes you are surrounded by highly trained paramedics, volunteer EMTs and police officers.

The RIGHT people with the RIGHT training, RIGHT Equipment, and RIGHT attitude have arrived at the RIGHT address at the RIGHT time to provide the RIGHT care.

Soon you are at McCook Community Hospital where again the RIGHT people with the RIGHT training, RIGHT equipment, and Right attitude provide the RIGHT care at the RIGHT time.

This writer knows of what he speaks for not only have those RIGHT people allowed me to be a small part of the RIGHT service they have provided it for me.

Today if you visit the McCook Public Safety Center you can see my name on the wall beside the door instead of at Memorial Park.

I am so grateful to live in a caring community with so many RIGHTS.

Randall Mills Datus,

retired teacher,

McCook Public Schools
