Hager tied for 16th after one round at Class B state girls golf tourney

GRAND ISLAND -- McCook High School junior Justine Hager is tied for 16th place at the Nebraska Class B state girls golf tournament after one round.

Hager and Aurora's Emily Larson both shot 93s in the first 18 holes at Grand Island's Riverside Golf Course.

Sidney's Terrin Wells fired an 81 in the opening round to take a three-stroke lead over Hastings' Sara Wissing and Columbus Lakeview's Whitney Saalfeld.

The second round of the Class A, B and C state tournaments will be played Tuesday.
