Letter to the Editor

What's left?

Thursday, June 22, 2006

Dear Editor,

A while back a friend of mine undertook refurbishing an old house in Sod Town portion of Palisade. He wants to restore it so it looks like an old time homestead. He and I talked of windmills, outhouses, antique relics of the past as enhancement, I told him of an old outhouse I knew about. He inquired but received a "No, you can't have it" answer.

Recently the owner changed her mind; told him he could have it. He e-mailed me the good news. We discussed the hole which should be beneath it but isn't.

I wonder if your readers would have an answer to the question, when someone steals or takes a hole in the ground away, what does that leave?

Writer Ray,

Palisade
