Hanson campaign tour to visit McCook

Tuesday, February 28, 2006

John Hanson, Republican candidate for the 3rd District U.S. House of Representatives, will be in McCook on Wednesday as part of his Strengthening Rural Nebraska tour across Nebraska.

Hanson's tour, which began today in Grand Island and includes 20 cities across the state, will introduce his ideas of stengthening rural Nebraska with his Action Plan.

"Most politicians talk vaguely about what they want to do," Hansen said "I have written a detailed plan in which I offer a specific road map of exactly what I will do if you decide to send me to Congress."

"Most candidates think running for Congress is all about Washington," he continued. "Not me. The truth is, running for Congress is about Nebraska and fighting for the future of our family values and for greater economic opportunities. That's why I launched my tour today introducing my Action Plan."

Hanson's first stop will be Hansen Employment Service in Grand Island, followed by Heartland Coop in Hastings and KAAP Ethanol, LLC in Minden.

Hansen said he chose Hansen Employment because of its significant role that agriculture, cooperative and ag related business play in the economic stability of the 3rd District.

This week's general itinerary for his tour includes stops in North Platte, Ogallala and Scottsbluff on Tuesday, McCook, Imperial, Sidney and Kimball on Wednesday, Columbus, York and Waco on Thursday and Lexington, Broken Bow and Ord on Firday.

Hanson's office will release daily schedules to the media with details regarding his stops.
