Proud of town

Dear Editor,

Here in McCook, we have our fair share of problems, just as any small town does. But with that said, there is a lot that the people of McCook should be proud of.

My husband deployed to Iraq for his second tour this last July. The outpouring of support that I have received from family, friends, neighbors and even strangers has been nothing but beautiful.

The people of McCook are genuine and understanding, not to mention the level of patriotism that I have seen. McCook truly represents the Midwest spirit of being friendly and a good neighbor. I have been awe struck at what everyone has done for my sons, my husband and myself.

I am proud to say that I am from McCook and want to thank everyone for what they have done.
