Quilts are back

Wednesday, August 24, 2005

Dear Editor,

In recent years, the George Norris Home has hosted quilt shows. Continuing with this tradition, quilts will be on display during the month of September during regular open hours of 1 to 5 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursday's, 8:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Fridays and 9 to 1 p.m. on Saturday mornings.

Exceptions will be on Saturday, Sept. 24, when the Norris home will be open in the afternoon so we can have a "Norris" entry in the Heritage Days parade in the morning.

I would appreciate it if quilters will check their quilts in on Sept. 1 or 2 and pick them up on Sept. 30. Any age of quilts is OK, but it would be nice to have a variety.

Since I am a novice at this sort of activity,, it would be nice if a volunteer or two could help me out. Please call me at the Norris house (308 345-8484) or the Tappe house (308 345-7650) with your suggestions or questions.

Thanks,

Duane Tappe,

McCook
