Letter to the Editor

Graverobbers

Monday, June 13, 2005

Dear Editor,

On Tuesday evening or early Wednesday morning after Memorial Day, two flower arrangements of rememberance were taken off my son's and husband's grave site.

They did not blow away, because in previous years, Bud had made U-wires and they pushed into the ground over the arrangements to hold them.

The wires were also gone.

Do you realize the emotions of the heart you have caused by taking these arrangements?

It is not the cost of the flowers that is so disheartening, but the loss in human trust you have caused and the heartache you have made.

In my opinion, anyone who would do such a thing as to steal from the dead and defenseless is lower than a snake belly and in dear need of serious help.

I truly hope you enjoy the flowers and every time you look at them, you remember where you got them, and it haunts you forever.

Freda Clapp,

Wife of Charles "Bud"

and mother of Ronald

McCook
