Great memories

Dear Editor,

The picture and description of the old library evokes such wonderful reading memories for me [Carnegie Library plans open house" (http://www.mccookgazette.com/story/1098159.html)].

From the time I was 9, I checked out books almost every week. The Bobsey Twins were probably some of my first and then NANCY DREW!

I remember all of the mysteries, biographies and historical novels about the kings and queens of England.

I have a 7-year-old granddaughter who is an excellent reader and is following in Gramie's footsteps. It won't be long and she will be ready for **Nancy Drew!
